What Fails On A Commercial Floor.
Two years after a cheap install, the same short list shows up. Here is what causes it — and what we specify instead.
Why you're recoating in two years
- Delaminates under forklift and pallet-jack loads
- Softens and lifts where hot work or wash-down happens
- Acid-etch prep instead of grinding — weak bond from day one
- Long cure times mean days of lost production
- Stains permanently from oil, coolant and solvents
- No written warranty when it fails
Specified to the facility
- Diamond-ground prep to clean, profiled concrete
- Moisture vapor barrier where the slab calls for it
- Polyaspartic build — fast return to service
- Chemical resistant to oils, solvents and wash-down
- Slip-resistant texture spec'd to the room, not one-size-fits-all
- Written warranty on the system you choose
Warehouse Floor Coatings Bakersfield — And Every Other Space We Coat.
Commercial epoxy flooring in Bakersfield has to match the room. Every facility punishes a floor differently — pick yours to see the system we spec for it.
Warehouse Floor Coatings

Machine oils, coolant, hot work and equipment that can’t move twice.Read more
A manufacturing floor doesn’t fail from foot traffic. It fails from what lands on it. Machine oil and coolant soak into bare concrete and never come back out. Solvents and degreasers strip a sealer that was never rated for them. Hot work throws sparks and slag. And somewhere under a press or a line there’s a patch of slab nobody has actually looked at in years.
The other thing that makes an industrial floor different: the equipment doesn’t move twice. A press, a conveyor run, racking bolted into the slab — once it’s set, it’s set. So the floor gets installed around it, in the order the plant can afford, or it doesn’t get installed at all.
That’s what the walkthrough is really for. We map the slab, find where the moisture and the old repairs are, and work out a sequence — which bays go first, which get coated on a weekend, what keeps running while the rest cures. Nights and weekends are normal for us. What we won’t tell you is that nothing has to close, because it does. The point is that you know exactly which area is down, and for how long, before you commit to anything.
Prep is what decides whether the floor lasts. We prep, make the repairs the slab actually needs, lay the basecoat as either a broadcast flake or a solid colour, seal it, and walk it with you. Solid colour is the usual call in a plant — it reads clean under machine lighting and it keeps line marking and traffic lanes legible.
Return to service is the same as everything else we install: walk on it the next day, back to normal operation — equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, full production — at 48 hours.
We’ve put a solid grey floor into a printing facility here in Bakersfield, and our largest single project to date ran past 10,000 square feet. If your job needs bid paperwork, we carry COI, W-9, product data sheets and warranty documentation, and we’re fully insured with general liability and workers’ comp.
Commercial Kitchen Flooring
Grease, daily wash-down, and slip resistance that has to hold up wet.See the kitchen page →Office Floor Coatings
Office flooring that takes rolling chairs, foot traffic and a finish that has to look right to visitors.Read more
An office floor has the opposite problem to a plant floor. Nothing heavy is going to hurt it. What hurts it is being looked at all day.
Rolling chairs cut the same arcs into the same four spots. Foot traffic wears a lane from the door to the desks. Somebody’s coffee goes over by the kitchenette. Carpet tile hides it for a while and then holds onto it. VCT looks fine right up until the strip-and-wax cycle falls behind, and then it reads as a floor nobody is maintaining — which is the impression a client forms about your business in the twenty steps between the front door and the conference room.
A resin-coated floor sits in a different maintenance category. It cleans with a mop, there is no strip-and-wax cycle, no seams for anything to work its way under, and no tile to match when a chair castor finally wins.
The real constraint in an office isn’t the floor, it’s the people. You can’t shut an accounting department for a week. So we zone it — reception and corridors one weekend, the open floor the next, private offices in whatever order interrupts the least work. Nights and weekends are standard. And we’re straight with you: the zone we’re working in does close.
On finish, offices usually want the opposite of what plants want. Flake reads warmer and hides the day-to-day. Solid colour looks sharper and more deliberate, and it shows more. We’ll bring both to the walkthrough and lay them on your actual slab under your actual lights.
Walk on it the next day. Chairs, desks and everything else back to normal at 48 hours.
Showroom & Retail Floor Coatings
Showroom floor coatings are part of the display — depth, gloss and zero maintenance drama.Read more
In a showroom the floor isn’t background. It’s the surface every product on the sales floor is sitting on, and it’s the first thing a customer’s eye travels across on the way in.
That changes what “good” means. In a warehouse, good is durable. Here durable is the price of entry, and the actual question is whether the floor looks intentional. Is the gloss even from the front window to the back wall? Does the reflection run clean, or does it break where a repair went in?
Retail has its own kind of abuse, and it isn’t forklifts. It’s the restock at six in the morning with a pallet jack coming through the front door. It’s display fixtures being dragged instead of lifted. It’s cart wheels, baskets, and the grit that walks in off a Bakersfield parking lot in August. None of that destroys a coated floor. All of it shows on a floor that was specified for looks alone.
Solid colour does the most work in a retail space. We put a solid black floor into a retail store here in Bakersfield — black or a deep charcoal gives you that gallery read, where the product is the only thing in the room with colour in it.
Scheduling is the tightest part of a retail job, because you’re open when your customers are. We work around trading hours — overnights, closed days, or one section at a time behind a barrier so you never lose the whole floor at once.
Next day to walk it. 48 hours to full use, fixtures back, open for business.
Shop & Service Bay Floor Coatings
Hot tires, jack stands, dropped tools and constant chemical contact.Read more
A service bay eats floors in ways almost nothing else does, and the damage is nearly always chemical or thermal rather than structural.
Hot tire pickup is the classic one. A vehicle comes off the road, the tires are still hot, it sits for an hour, and when it pulls out it takes the coating with it in patches. That single failure mode is what ends most paint-grade and DIY floors in shops, and it’s the first thing we ask about on the walkthrough.
After that it’s everything else the bay sees. Brake fluid, degreaser, gear oil and solvent going down where they land. Jack stands and lift posts putting a whole vehicle’s weight onto four small footprints. Dropped tools. Tire marks that a bare or sealed slab holds onto for good.
We spec the system to what the bay actually sees, which is why the walkthrough matters more here than almost anywhere else on this page. Slip resistance goes where things get wet. The finish gets picked for what has to stay visible on it — a dropped clip, a leak that started overnight.
Shops run bay by bay, and that works in your favour. We can take one or two out at a time and leave the rest earning. Those bays do close while we’re in them. Walk on it the next day, vehicles and equipment back at 48 hours.
We Work Around Your Operation
Not Through It
For a commercial facility the coating is rarely the expensive part — the downtime is. A warehouse that can’t ship, a kitchen that can’t open, a shop that can’t turn work. That’s why we schedule commercial installs around your hours instead of asking you to close, and why we use polyaspartic systems that return to service in a fraction of standard epoxy’s cure time — walk-on the next day, forklifts at 48 hours.
Before anything is scheduled we walk the facility with you, section it so you keep operating, and put the whole plan in writing — scope, sequence, and the day you get your floor back.
From Walkthrough To Back In Service.
We measure, test the slab, and learn how the space runs.
System spec, sequence and schedule — in writing before you commit.
Diamond grind, joint and crack repair, moisture barrier as needed.
Sectioned so you keep operating, scheduled around your hours.
Walk-on next day, forklifts at 48 hours.
Commercial Epoxy Flooring Bakersfield Businesses Rely On
Built For How Hard You Run
The floor finishes as one continuous surface with no joints for oil, coolant or wash-down to work into, and it runs up the wall as a coved base wherever the room needs it. Diamond-ground prep gives a mechanical bond that roll-on coatings can’t match, and a moisture vapor barrier goes down first where the slab tests wet.
It is textured for grip while the floor is wet, spec’d to the room rather than one-size-fits-all, and chemical resistant to oils, solvents and daily wash-down. You walk on it the next day and put forklifts and equipment back on it at 48 hours — and it carries a written warranty on the system you choose.
Bid-Ready When Your Package Needs It
Paperwork, Scale And Insurance
If your bid package needs data sheets, warranty documents or a W-9, just ask. Scope, sequence and the day you get your floor back go in writing before anything is scheduled, so there is no guessing about what was quoted or when you get the room back.
We handle single projects of 10,000+ square feet and we’re fully insured with general liability and workers’ compensation, CA Lic #1124436. Certificate of insurance, W-9, product data sheets and warranty documentation are available for your property manager or GC — written warranty up to 3 years, depending on the system and the environment it’s going into.

The single biggest factor. Bigger floors cost less per square foot.

The oils, coolant, solvents and daily wash-down the finish has to survive.
Night, weekend and phased installs so you never stop shipping, cooking or building.

What Our Clients Say About Us

Commercial Epoxy Flooring FAQs
Do we have to shut down while you work?
Usually not. We section most commercial floors so part of your facility stays in use while we work the rest, and we run nights and weekends when that's what it takes to keep you open. Tell us your hours at the walkthrough and we build the schedule around them.
How fast can we be back on the floor?
Walk on it the next day. Forklifts and equipment at 48 hours. That's the main reason we build commercial floors in polyaspartic instead of standard epoxy — traditional epoxy can hold a facility hostage for the better part of a week.
Will it hold up to forklifts and pallet jacks?
Yes — that's what the system is built for. Diamond-ground prep gives a mechanical bond that roll-on coatings can't match, and the polyaspartic build resists the point loads and abrasion that lift cheap epoxy off a warehouse slab.
What about grease, solvents and daily wash-down?
The finish is chemical resistant and sealed, so oils, coolant and cleaning chemicals wipe up instead of soaking in. For kitchens and wash-down areas we spec added slip resistance so the floor stays safe wet.
Do you install food-safe floors for commercial kitchens?
Yes. For kitchens, prep areas, coolers and anywhere food is handled we install food-safe systems — seamless, non-porous, sanitary coved edges where the spec calls for it, and a finish that holds up to daily wash-down and hot water.
Can you handle a large square footage?
Yes. We've installed single projects over 10,000 square feet, and we'd rather phase a large floor properly across a few nights than rush it in one. If your facility is bigger than that, bring us out and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right crew for it.
Do you provide documentation for our specs or bid package?
Yes — whatever your process requires. Product data sheets, written warranty documents, certificate of insurance, W-9, lien releases. Tell us what your accounting or facilities team needs and we'll have it in the packet.
What warranty comes with a commercial floor?
Up to three years in writing, though the honest answer is that it varies — a warehouse slab under forklift traffic and a climate-controlled showroom don't carry the same term. We put the exact warranty for your floor on the written quote so you know what you're buying before you sign, not after.
Are you licensed and insured?
Licensed in California, CSLB #1124436, and fully insured — general liability and workers' compensation. We'll send a certificate of insurance naming your company before we set foot on site.
