Tearing Out the Carpet

Because this floor is headed for weight room duty, we finished it with two coats of polyaspartic sealer instead of the standard single topcoat. That double polyaspartic topcoat means extra thickness and extra impact protection where plates, dumbbells, and bench legs will be landing day after day.
The Result: A Bedroom Built for Lifting
The finished floor is seamless, easy to clean, and tough enough for anything a home gym throws at it. Sweat wipes up with a towel. Rubber mats and racks sit flat and stable.
